How do you think we should deal with the singing parts in the movie? I think the Goldmoon song should be left in since it starts the riot, but what about the rest?

Its nothing personal. MW has been posting on that site for years apparently. Her whole staff posts on there too. She has often sited this site as a reference for movie information.

It wasn't an "official" announcement from the "big guys". Other wise it would have been posted here. Everything official is released on here, as far as I've seen anyway. I personally think she might be bragging a bit :P I would be too given that opportunity.

but she isn't the only one letting things out of the bag. Tracey Hickman has also been interviewing cast members on his podcasts, and those aren't released on here. There a re a few threads linking to it, but again, nothing official. Think of the Nexus as DL's Star Daily, or Entertainment Tonight.

Yes. I'm guessing the reason is that so far, this board is far more realistic, and less forgiving than what I've seen on the Nexus.

MW just posted something in the nexus, guess she is over the Stills comments...

She is attending a recording session today for the choir that will be used in the sound track. they will be sing some original scores for the film, but also original works (from the book in other words)written by Tracey Hickman! But they took them a step further, and translated them into their original languages.
Keep an eye out on the webpage of the music guy, he might post some stuff on there!

I wouldn't mind hearing a song somewhere. It would make up for the fact that Legolas didn't sing anything at the end of Return of the King.

If she has singing talent I am sure she could do fine, like i said in another topic Gerard Butler sings his own parts in Phantom of the Opera granted his voice had to be trained and he wasn't the best ever at his part but it is possible. Especially since she wouldn't be singing the entire movie. Then again this is a cartoon, I don't imagine it would be that difficult to find a female voice who can sing well to do the part instead of Lucy, you don't have to worry about lip syncing.

Actually, I was rather surprised at how well Lucy can sing. I wouldn't mind hearing her sing. Also with the comments from Karl I think the score combined with her sing would sound pretty good.

i dunno if want to hear Lucy Lawless sing...

Well - I know this is an older topic, but I wanted to voice some concerns.

Yes, of course, I want Goldmoon's song in the movie - and Tas skipping down the road, belting out his trailsong would be awesome. I just don't want this to have weird song scores like the Hobbit animated film from back in the day. Those were just weird.

Please tell me the draconians won't be marching down the road and breaking into song. Please.

Most of the songs that I seen seamed to suck. At least the ones that are in actual print. It may just be me and my musical ability......that made frown on the songs. With a good tune maybe they be okay.

i agree, the kender trailsong must be in the movie!

Woggie Posted - 13 Oct 2005 : 05:32:12
I agree with you there. I can even see the scene. Tas marches off in the lead of the group blurting out the lyrics at the top of his lungs (and off key).

the kender trailsong has to be in.... even for a few verses....
