I growled, my conciousness raw, leaping from plant to plant, winning each plant like it was a fight to the death. Those who were paying attention in the forest noticed a slight greening as each plant was one. The plants were left a little jaded, but healthy. I was about halfway towards our sapling, going for a pincer action to isolate the spread.

I pushed through the last defenses on one of the farthest effected plants and began the turn towards the sapling. Somewhere in the middle of the first bit I'd gotten distracted and gone outward instead of forward. Something had called me. Another Ent, and it was in pain. I'd raced towards it, pushing my energy through to sustain things as I went, going for speed before pushing back to regroup.
