"We were in an inn, just outside of Taladas, as I said. I was getting warmed up for the real show. I was thinking about how I was going to build up to the finale, and the first thing that comes to mind is cow jokes." He grinned, "And I actually can blame you, Marz. EVERY minotaur I'd met before then hadn't cared. I'd thought of some real doozies over the years, and so I expected a good response." Steven looked Aldemere in the eyes. "Dead silence. Pretty close anyways. I think your dad was in shock, maybe a few other people too. And then the chaos started. People calling me an ass and the whole nine yards. Thank goodness there weren't any tomatoes, or those would have been thrown. As it was, there were several men challenging me to duels alongside quite a considerable amount of women." He shook his head again, "And all I could do was look dumbstruck."
