*Lance stood a while in silence before walking toward his mothers study. The curtain was drawn as it had been since the day of her death... as it would remain. He passed beyond it and stood in the rooms peaceful emptyness. He walked up to the desk and ran his hands over its smooth, cool surface. He looked to Gremelkin's long empty bed. Mishka and the other two were over at the Temple most likely. Memmories came flooding back to him by the thousands, driving him to his knees and causing him to tremble with grief. He wanted to scream but did not wish to disturb the others. So he remained on the floor and wept*
