Sweet!

Is this angle about a new god going to suck. It didn't seem all that cool to me.

There are a lot of different claims to different gods. It's kind of up to you to figure out which ones actually have any relevance. Plus, the new god is kind of relevant to the progression of the story.

There is so much that it's not funny. Wait until you start reading about all the debates (on the internet) over Jon Snow's true parentage and what not.

When you get to that point it gets really interesting to me. You get to go back through the books and get slapped in the face by all the depth. Picking up on all the little things you hadn't noticed before or didn't much care about.

I think I would go nuts if I were George writing this story. =)

Vassor, in regards to your spoiler question. I didn't really catch it at first, but it seemed so obvious later and on reread. I don't know why i didn't catch it at first though. His kings guard really did bring out some red flags though. And funny as hell when you think about it afterwards. These books are the greatest and I can't wait to see it on HBO.

Holy incestuous relationships, Batman! What the hell is up with Cersie doing anything with a Lanister name? What next? Will she be doing her dad? Don't answer that...

Tyrion keeps proving himself to be one of the best characters in literature.

Oh, and I think that I have a way to get the high school girls to read this series.

Edit: If that didn't do it, then nothing will.

Cersei uses what she has to get what she wants.

Tyrion may possibly be exactly that! (and I hear that Peter Dinklage's performance of him in the HBO pilot episode of A Game of Thrones is simply perfect).

I really think they did an excellent job with the casting for that series.

I think Dinklage was at the top of everyone's list for Tyrion and they got him.

Scann, check out this site: http://www.liftingfaces.com/2009/09/game-of-thrones-cast-so-far/

It shows pictures of the actors for the series. It's for the pilot episode so there should be no spoilers there.

I agree with Sirch, they certainly picked a great cast. The only one I'm not too excited by his look is Mark Addy for Robert

I wonder how the actors playing Cersie and Jaime will look with blonde hair.

It's going to be interesting to see Jeff Bean as Eddard.

Apparently Lena Headey (Cersei) looks great blonde, according to those fans who have seen some of the filming. You can see Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie) with Blonde hair on youtube.

Tyrion always seems to become a favorite character. For good reason too!
