Vallun waited until they were both sound asleep. Then, he walked quietly to where his pack lay. He pulled out a dirty cloth. Pulling back the fabric, it revealed the hilt of Akoran's sword, Firestorm. He touched the cloth only, not the fabric. The demon in the sword would not stir unless a blade was attached to it, but Vallun did not want to be reckless. He had taken right before Moon had been attacked, and no one knew he had it. When he was ready, he would find the right blade for it. And then he would learn to master it. He looked at it for another moment, then folded it back up and put it back in his pack. For the first time in a long time, Vallun actully slept.
(we should probably move on to the next day. I fear poor DM is having nothing to do on here.)
Armed? Armed with what? Hmm, lets see.. bad breath, colorful language, feather duster... WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY'RE ARMED WITH!!! GUNS, YOU TIT, GUNS!!!

Vallun had woken up as well, sitting up against a tree, his sword across his knees should he need it. He shook his head to clear it. He was never a morning person. He looked over in the direction they were heading. He smirked. "We're close to our destination." He said.
Armed? Armed with what? Hmm, lets see.. bad breath, colorful language, feather duster... WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY'RE ARMED WITH!!! GUNS, YOU TIT, GUNS!!!

Vallun shrugged. "I'm not so certain myself. I admit i havn't been very honest about our destination." He turned to look at them. "If you knew while we were still close to Solace, i'm sure you would have gone back in disgust." He smiled, knowing thier reactions beforehand. "The person we are going to see is a kender, named Barnelbus Lightfoot. He was one of the last kender to undergo Wanderlust and leave Kendermore before it's destruction during The War of Souls. He has grown quite old now, and is a thief and an illegal weapons dealer." He paused a moment, wondering what else to say. "His crew are all kender, and they spy on the rest of the world without them knowing. Barnelbus calls his gang The Know-It-Alls. My father and him made a secret alliance years ago. We supply him and his men with weapons to sell and defend themselves, and they give us information on what's going on around the continent." He laughed. "My father loved the idea. He told me that anyone who underestimated a kender was a fool. The alliance was supported by Moon and Jocardin after my father's death, and has become so strong now that Barnelbus abjectly refuses any counter offers from other organizations. He would do anything for my father, and that devotion applies to me as well." He looked down at his feet a moment, before continuing. "What i'm not sure about is if they are even there. They are always on the move. That's why we have bases everywhere, so we can communicate with them at all times. They may be in that cave, they may hiding from minotaurs in Taladas." He shrugged. "But if there's anyone who can give us information on our quarry, it is Barnelbus Lightfoot."

They do have the means to find desperate people who will spy for them where they can't go." He smirked. "They're not as bad as you think. A lot of dangerous people may have ended up in Solace if it wasn't for them."

Vallun smile dropped. "It was an option, but no, i'm not. The one that attacked Solace, is the only one that matters." He gripped his sword as he said this.
